Parl. Special Commissions to examine JCPOA

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (MNA) – A member of Parliament Presiding Board has said a special commission and National Security Commission will examine JCPOA during Parliament summer break.

Mohammad Hossein Farhangi told Mehr News Parliamentary correspondent that some of the representatives had demanded that Parliament should not go on summer break during the three future weeks.

Farhangi, who represents Tabriz constituency in the Parliament, said that the Presiding Board however opposed the demand on the grounds that the law mandated that no session would be held during three weeks, and thus the summer break would be on place for three weeks.

“Special Commission by the Parliament and Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission will examine the JCPOA during this break period, beginning next week; US Congress has also gone to summer break, with a special commission missioned with examining the deal,” Farhangi drew similarities between Iran’s Parliament and the US Congress.
